    bumpy

Does the S205 even have a BIOS Whitelist and if, is there already a patched BIOS available?

To answer my own question: The Intel Wifi 6200 card (Lenovo FRU: 60Y3191) does NOT work in the S205 properly.

There is no BIOS error and the card gets detected by Windows alright, but as soon as i install the drivers and the card is activated, the system freezes. Same with Ubuntu, once the card is activated, the system freezes.

The card itself is okay, it works properly in my Ideapad U160.

Too bad, i guess... gotta look for another card.

Intel Wifi 5100 and 1000 don't work either in the S205 with the same freeze problem.

    Broadcom BCM4313 works perfectly.

i was the one requesting the bios whitelist removal on that forum ;)

but the result is the same with default or modded bios, it still freezes with all the intel cards.

did you order a lenovo or generic 6200 card, since all my intel cards are lenovo FRU types?

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone else that is searching to find a solution to using an Intel 6200, camiloml's modified BIOS (whitelist removed) from the above bios-mods.com link did work on my Lenovo S205.
