Hi, I've had my y500 for a couple of weeks now and I just got a 128gb Crucial M4 mSATA drive. Like most people I want the SSD for my main boot drive for the OS and programs then have the 1TB HDD already in the laptop for storage of personal files. So I'm in the process of transferring between the two. The laptop comes with Windows 8 and I have an .iso for Windows 7 on an external HDD so I want to switch back to that.

I guess I just want to know the best way of doing so. I've only installed a few programs and steam so far there's no personal files I need to backup. So this should be fairly easy but I suppose I just want others' input on it as a precaution haha :p.

SIDE NOTE: Currently it has a 16gb drive in the mSATA slot for cache. I obviously am going to replace that with my new drive, so when I transfer everything I assume the laptop will just automatically use the new drive for caching?

    Thanks in advance guys!
