I got my first ideapad and have had some problems with it. I've owned thinkpads for 10+ years and if there is a problem they usually send out a box and label. For the ideapad it looks like I have to box it up myself, find proper packing and ship at my expense. Is this generally true for the ideapads?

Late post, but I think so. When I sent my y500 back for repair I just used the same box that it came in and shipped it to them using FedEx. All they sent was the label.

That is the case for most non-business / high end brands.
