    Hi,

Lenovo will not accept my laptop (Yoga 2 Pro) for repairs and was wondering if anybody had any advice.

I purchased in the US, when I am back in the UK the motherboard died, it seems a common problem where the motherboard and the power board are faulty.

I sent off to UK warranty who sent it back stating they do not stock the parts and I need to speak to the US warranty service. After speaking to them they advised me that I need to speak to the UK who need to order the part and fix in their centre.

So I called the UK again to tell them what the US had said and they said that was not possible.

I am currently in the situation where the UK refuse to fix it because they don't have the part and the US will not receive it because I don't have a US address.

Has any body been in this situation before, or can advise me anyhow?

Also, I find it strange that something like a motherboard and power board would change country to country.

    Thanks

    Matt

Thanks for the reply, they refused to accept it in the US and the UK said they didn't have the parts. Had to send multiple tweets to get them to resolve anything, but all is good now they will get the parts from the US and fix in the UK. I'm happy with their solution and it seems all will be good, just a shame it took some twitter shaming. Gotta love Social Media.
