Lenovo K26 (Lenovo China, in Chinese)
    51NB Review (in Chinese)

Looks like Lenovo is transferring ThinkPad technology to other product lines; the design and build is reminiscent of a ThinkPad.

    Intel Core i5-520M
    12.1" WXGA LCD (16:10, 1280x800)
Full-size spill-resistant keyboard (with liquid drainage holes)
LED illumination light on top of LCD bezel
    Aluminum-Magnesium top LCD cover
    180-degree metal LCD hinges

But there are also some differences: it has all the ports that are missing on X201!!

    Touchpad, No trackpoint
    USB x2, USB+eSATA x1
    VGA x1, HDMI x1

This is certainly a very interesting machine.

K26 indeed seems to be available only in China, but I do not know that for a fact.

Note that K26 is not the first in the Lenovo K series, which appears to be their new line of business laptops. There is also a K23 (released in 2009, a Non-ThinkPad X200?) and a K46 (a Non-ThinkPad T410?).

It seems logical they'd do this since they've already done the R&D. The marginal cost to use it over there should be low.

man it costs around 1600 USD for this. I would just get the X201 for that price.

I know there has been discussion amongst thinkpad fans that lenovo continues to try and "pull a dell" in regards to lower quality and price, but this looks suspiciously like the thinkpad version of dell's vostro line.
