I recently purchased my first lenovo laptop - my dream laptop - the X61 Tablet.
After frustration over the improper placement of the FN key (I use the control key way too much). I started searching the internet for a solution when using my tablet in laptop mode and came across a site called myglowkeys (new posters can't post urls)
Interesting, because I have a vinyl printer/cutter (Roland) with a brand new set of cutting blades, and 2 rolls of reflective vinyl (Navy Blue, and Orange) that practically matches their description. I want to test and see if I can't make my own custom vinyl for my own Lenovo.
The closest I've come so far to discovering the font was someone who mentioned macs use a version of rounded helvetica. But that's all I've been able to read on the topic.
Please help (Let me know if you want to hear about my results, and maybe i can cut a copy for you!)
Regards,
- Mike

Isn't easier to get used to new FN position?
-
Or just remap the keys and leave the labels as-is...
-
That just solves the FN button issue, I want to simply see the keys when i'm typing at night - a usb keyboard light requires juice and is a pain to find and hook up
I have the materials needed, All i need is the font lol -
Use the thinklight?

Wait, I'm confused... Did you want to just make new Fn/Ctrl keys? Or do you want to redo the entire keyboard in glowiness? It wasn't clear from your first post.

The font definitely looks like a close variant of Helvetica. The telltale signs of Helvetica (as opposed to Arial, the M$ knockoff) are a foot on uppercase G, a perfect parallel space on upper and lower case C, and a tail on the lower case a. It looks like the Thinkpad keyboard has all of these markings, so Helvetica (or a slightly rounded variant of Helvetica) is definitely the choice you want to make. You may actually want to check out this documentary about Helvetica and typesetting/graphic design in general.
