I've searched and searched - here and Google - and coming up empty. I recently ordered a new Thinkpad and added an L10 Tip to the order, thinking it directly connected the iPod and the laptop and would eliminate the need to carry another cable. Well, I can't figure out how/where this thing plugs in!

    Here's a picture of the L10 tip:

The other side plugs right into the ipod. But this connection isn't familiar and I can't figure out where it goes. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am pretty sure that you need to buy the slim 90w AC/DC Combo Adapter. That adapter has removable tips to make it universal and the option for a Y-cable to charge two devices simultaneously. If you are using the stock 65 or 90 watt adapter that comes with your Thinkpad you are SOL.

Can you post a pic, when you figure it out?

Bingo! I have one of those! Nice to know how it works.

I don't have the optional dual charging cable so until I pick one of those up, I can't do two devices simultaneously. A bit disappointing that I have to carry that big, heavy brick just to make that tip work. Ah well, on a plane or in the car, I'd have that Slim 90w Combo Adapter anyways.

    Thanks, Jon!

No problem. Is the 90w slim actually that heavy? I know it is wider than the 65w that comes with the x200, but it is flatter and I thought the weight was about the same. Could you post actual weights (a postal scale with grams for the 65w normal and 90 combo would be ideal). If the weight is similar I may consider getting the Slim 90 eventually for my x200t and other accessories.

The 90w travel package with brick, carrying case, tips, car adapter, and power line weighs 623 grams or 1lb 6oz.

The normal 65w unit (that ships with the laptop) with brick and power line weighs 278 grams or 9.8oz.

Thus my disappointment at having to carry the "slim" adapter in order to use the L10 iPod tip. It may be slim in size, but not in weight.

Yikes. That definitely is a disincentive to get the slim adapter. I think I'll stick with the iPod USB cable and charge it directly with my x200t. I actually think you can set the USB ports to provide power even when the laptop is in standby and plugged in (this should make charging the iPod very easy), I don't think this harms battery life, but I am not sure.

Have in mind, that you don't have to carry the case nor the additional 4/3 tips that come included, nor the DC adapter.
If you exclude the above items, here are the weights:

Slim: Weight: 0,425 Kg (0,94 lb)
Normal: Weight 0,360 Kg (0,79 lb)

    Not that much heavier...

BTW, the Dual Charging Tip is really big and cumbersome...
