    I found two different ones.

I don't know what the FHD screens on the Y50 are these days, but an IPS screen will offer you better PQ. However, no one can read a UHD LCD at its native resolution and scaling in Windows is a mixed bag. Gaming at UHD resolution will probably work the GPU harder, but I'm not much of a gamer.

Yeah i understand that, but idk if the LED HD is alot worse than LED IPS, cuz one with the led hd offers kinda better specs + external disc burner and such. Should i buy that one?

on the other hand, the old FHD-panel with the TN-panel is, simply said, crap. just take look at some reviews and this panel is REALLY bad - dark, aweful viewing angles, bad contrast, ...

sure, you can exchange it afterwards, but only with some effort. on the other hand, the UHD-panel isn't worth the money, either. the hardware of teh Y50 isn't strong enoigh for gaming in native resolution, so why bother at all with it? and as ZaZ mentionend: Wondows isn't good at scaling, even as high dpi-displays are around for quite some time.

my advice: look for some newer Y50-70 with the 960M, they have implemented a MUCH better FullHD-IPS-panel with this generation.

still the point with the nonexisting turbo-boost remains.
