Lenovo launches two Windows 7 notebooks in the US

Lenovo today began shipping two of its ThinkPad SL series notebooks with Windows 7. The SL410 and the SL510 have 14-inch and 15.6-inch LED-backlit LCD screen, respectively, while sharing the same processor options. Either can be had with dual-core Celerons to Core 2 Duo CPUs.
Another shared feature includes Intel's integrated X4500 graphics processor, while RAM and hard drive space can be optioned up to 8GB and 500GB, respectively. DVD drives, six-cell batteries, HDMI and VGA outputs, a multi-touch trackpad, Wi-Fi and Ethernet are also integrated. There is an option of WiMax and Bluetooth. The SL410 weighs 5.1lbs, while the SL510 is slightly heavier, at 5.6lbs. Spill resistant keyboards are also part of the feature set.

Prices start at $529, while shipping dates are unknown.

Why do they use a glossy screen on SL series? I love Thinkpad's keyboards and SL300 was a good choice to me except in those screens. They screw mobility up with them.

    It is cheaper for them?

The SL series is basically a multimedia laptop with the ThinkPad standards (in theory)
