I'll be joining the Legion team sometime next week (if it ships). I got it for a decent price (+Rakuten cashback) as I could've gotten it for lower during Nov/Dec 2021 with all the discounts. I basically had support try to match an expired quote on my account for a similar spec laptop.

Hopefully no GPU issues and no dead/stuck pixel issues.

It seems the majority suggest NOT to repaste the machine. I'm itching to try liquid metal (conductonaut) on this thing....

On the product page when you click on "specs" under "additional notes" it says you need to enable XMP in bios to operate at rated speed, otherwise will perform at default speed set by the system. Very misleading / it should be front and center on the specs page. If my interpretation is accurate then no it won't run at 3200mhz.

I decided to re-order a L7 5800H + 3080, it was $2495 shipped which is pretty decent. Ordered for the better battery life (hopefully). Ships 2-3 weeks so will arrive after this place shuts down :(. Never considered Legion laptops prior to checking this forum; now the brand is probably the only brand I'll buy going forward.

There's an NBR subreddit that has been set up as a temporary home until a more traditional forum can be created.

    Thanks.
From what I've gathered the Gskil CL18 ones will work but require messing with advanced BIOS and it's a bit scuffed.

    Ordered a pair of Kingston Fury Impact 16GB 3200MHz CL20. KF432S20IB1K2/32
They are 3200MHz CL20 JEDEC so should be plug & play.

That's the same kit I have, it is dual rank (2Rx8) and definitely will work with the AMD Legion 7. I used it on that laptop among other AMD and Intel laptops. It is plug & play.

I've seen varying results online with Kingston CL20 dual vs single rank.
I'd figure dual rank + dual channel would be best, but it appears you get mostly same or single digit % lower scores in intel systems.
    What's your experience on AMD?

Exactly that, it made more of a difference in AMD laptops.
