Haha, Lenovo's ads and such are taking jabs at the MacBook Air, quite funny. I remember reading another ad, it stated with the final line "All the others are just hot air".

I love the music they use in it. With both of these products being "halo" products that companies like to talk about a bunch to show off prowess but don't sell many of, I'd love to know who has moved more units of each and whether it even comes close to covering the costs of the marketing they've done.

    Haha. It's funny.....cuz' it's true! LOL

    :p

But as with Andrew, it all comes down to who sold the most. I'd like to see numbers as well.

The air has an advantage: DVI output. It's not even an option with the X300 (the docks for it don't even support it). And, if you want DVI output with the T series, you have to buy a $170 dock. It's kind of ridiculous. What's the point of VGA output when DVI->VGA converters are so plentiful?

Well, I'll be in the market for an ultraportable soon...

I'm banking on a refurbished Sony TZ or maybe this new IBM X110

June is going to be an interesting month, as so many new laptops will be coming out sporting Centrino 2, Montevina, Atom, P8400 CPU, low power GPU, DisplayPort, Larger HD, etc.

One more month, and enjoy the show, not to mention prices. Websites such as NBR that are dedicated to laptops are going to have a field day.

Well, don't forget the ThinkPad series is a business line of laptops, and the core users of them would most likely not need DVI (and please don't go on about new projectors :)). Besides, with the upcoming release (if I'm still up to date) of DisplayPort, there will be no need for DVI on the ThinkPad. I believe DisplayPort has DVI-like features/output but is designed for business use.
