I am interested in a high end "netbook". The ASUS Eee is a nice concept but I was something that is nicer, has higher build quality, faster, and better components. I am talking about a high end net book.

You know, that is one of the leading problems I see with these Netbooks from other manufacturers (Samsung / Sony). They pack great hardware into the device but then they do absolutely no work on nice software. They just put Windows XP / Vista on it. That turns a potentially great product into a pretty bad one.

They need a custom OS for these devices. Perhaps that Ubuntu one is the answer. I don't really like Ubuntu as it is slower than Vista in almost all aspects, but perhaps the mobile one is better.

If you want a high end netbook, what about an 11.1" or 12.1"? The Lenovo X200 is only a little heavier than the eeepc 1000H. There's also the X300 which is tiny. The Ideapad line has a 11.1" that is high end as well.

I thought more of the netbooks so far have been XP or some variant of Linux? The biggest complaint with Linux is that they use variants that are not really good. I think if they put Ubuntu on them people would not have asked for XP netbooks as much.
