    I just wondering, do anybody know, how the interface between a notebook and a dock works? Via which bus? What is the bandwidth or other limitations?

    I think he mean what technology is use to implement the dock. i.e PCI-E.

    it should be PCI-e. There is no real documentation on the bandwidth of the docking connectors, etc.
