    Lenovo Mute.Mic service and mute button don't work anymore

    Thinkpad T550 owner. I liked how this laptop has a mute button for the microphone mapped at F4. The key even has a little LED that shows the internal microphone is muted.

    After installing Skype, the program seemed to have taken control over the Lenovo Mute.Mic service AND the F4 button. The microphone is now constantly running and the only way to stop it is to disable it under Sound -> Recording -> Right-click and disable microphone.

    How can I get this working to how it was before?
