    Hi,

i've recently bought this laptop http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=4K3D&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=TY0FPUK&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0

obviously i'm dead chuffed with it as it's my first laptop.... although i have a slight niggle ....

turn it on, and i get the login screen.. logon .....

it then take up to 15 mins to be even useable .... i've opened the task manager up and my RAM has been going up to 0.97gb.

would putting more ram in solve this ?

also i've had a looksie through the forum and found some references to upgrading the CPU as well on my model is this possible? if so how and what upgrades are available.

    Thanks in advance

    Dan :)

No, more RAM will not solve the problem but it will help make it quicker. It's hard to tell why it takes so long without more information, was it like this when you got it or did you uninstall something? I don't think you can upgrade processor and if so it's probably not worth the money.
