Ok, I bought a new Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook for work. Its currently running XP Home, pls let me know if more specs would help.

Anyway, I am getting a very loud squealling sound when I turn the speakers up here at work. It sounds like feedback of some sort but I cannot locate the source. Other coworkers have notebooks but have not experienced any problems. I tried plugging in some small speakers, which eliminates the squeal - but the audio level is light and rather difficult to hear. I had an older machine I was using before this one and have not had a problem. The Squeal only picks up at about 1/3 volume on the speakers. Can anyone recommend anything? I can't locate the feedback source - if it is even feedback. Unusual problem, I know, but it seems to be over my head! Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated! Also, I only noticed the problem when I came to work and if I move the laptop around my office the pitch changes, but I don't know if that's due to physically moving the machine or moving around the room. Thanks!
