Hi any owners of the 2.0ghz n100 care to comment on how much heat this thing produces? And maybe how loud the fans get also. A friend is looking into this laptop and is torn between the slower processor and the 2ghz. Thanks

I have used that M760 in the T43, 15" form factor, and it doesn't get hot at all.
Even tho the T43 had a reputation for getting warm.

The review unit I had seemed fairly cool and quiet. The DVD drive was a bit noisy.

oh I was wondering about the dual core 2.0 ghz processor sorry. but i suppose if the core solo wasn't too hot then the core duo might be ok. It's just the Lenovo N100 is relatively new (given by lack of many reviews) and I'd like to see some opinions on the heat/ fan noise as to judge the heat dissipation of the new design. Thanks

I just got my N100 last week [with the 2.0 ghz. processor] and it seems to be a fairly good purchase. The DVD drive IS a little noisy at times like Zaz said, but heat isn't an issue at all.
