Is anyone else having problems logging in when you try to checkout from your cart? I can login anywhere else on their site and see my account info and stuff, but when I try to checkout from the cart, it asks me to enter my username and password and says that I don't exist. Odd considering I exist everywhere else on their site...

Also, it says they charge 5% sales tax on every purchase. Is that true? Usually ordering online gets you around sales taxes... 57 dollars in sales tax is way more than I'm going to pay. (yeah yeah, you Europeans pay more, good for you :p )

If I can figure out the tax deal and fix whatever is wrong with their shop, I'll be ordering a T510 on Wednesday.

I hope someone can help answer.

You only pay 5%? I had to pay 8.25% on my T500, and since then, that percentage has risen even higher here in California.

If Lenovo has facilities in the state that you're living in, then they are required to pay sales taxes (and therefore charge you sales taxes). Think of yourself as being lucky...

Try using the guest checkout option to get past the login issue.

Everything out west is so expensive...

    The midwest has its benefits!

    Thanks though, I think. :\

Now to fix the checkout login...

Try to convert to a quote and see if that works. Then you can phone in and order your quote. I found that to be more reliable than paying online (which didn't work at all for me).

Lenovo has clearly some kind of facility in Wisconsin, thus they have to charge sales tax. That's the law and is not Lenovo's "fault".
