Hey everyone, i plan to order a laptop off the outlet tomorrow.

I'm curious about some people getting different spec'd laptops sent to them.
    Should i worry about it?
I'm currently in college so ~.~ my mom would be actually be ordering for me.

Which one? I don't see many good deals right now on thinkpads at the outlet. if you're getting a T series there's a discount code for 5/10% off at the cpp website. I just ordered my T500 from cpp after there was no good stuff at the outlet.

I have a YMMV story about Lenovo Outlet... order twice and both times got more than listed... recently got a SL400 and it came with twice the RAM and a webcam. I was quite happy. I do recommend buying when they have sales like free shipping plus 10-15% off coupons.

BTW - The Outlet is not run by Lenovo but by a 3rd party so my guess is their oversight goes both ways - good and bad... thankfully I've gotten good twice.

So who gets the profits? Lenovo or the 3rd party?

    Lenovo runs the outlet...

It might be outsourced support/sales/shipping but it is under lenovo.

wish I had seen this yesterday, I've been having an awful time with the outlet this past week. Not that I am bashing it, they just seemed to screw up every which way with my order. (BTW I am still ordering from them)

my suggestion, make sure you call them and confirm that the order actually went through and didn't just get saved as a quote. If it got saved as a quote then you won't be getting it unless you push it through yourself.

Outlet has been pretty hit or miss for a while even before the redesign.

oh i see.. lenovo(=p ahh i should have known). i recently ordered my t500 this afternoon, so i checked the same model and it showed the specific model quantity decrease by 1.
things seem to be going smoothly.

i'll give lenovo outlet a call sometime this week to check up on it.
