Lenovo Outlet - new stock available Mon morning.

Just a tip - Monday morning the Lenovo outlet will have a new load of notebooks available. I "bought" a T61 from the last Outlet sale - ofcourse they double sold it and after 4 weeks told me they had no laptop to ship to me. So after several emails, phone calls and BBB and A-G complaints, they said they would give me first right of refusal on the next lot of Outlet notebooks. Well they finally called me 3 weeks after they said they would, tonight. The sales guy went through some configs, and none matched what I needed (and what I had originally bought) with the same price (closest was $300 more). But he did offer me some real bargains from the lot in the $800-1000 range for the T61. After the debacle with Lenovo and no calls of offers of replacements, I went ahead and bought a Dell insipiron 1520 (with which I am extremely happy) for about $1000 plus a $200 gift card - so no loss for me

Anyway, the sales agent told me the new lot would be available online Monday morning. PLUS, they now have a totally inventory controlled online ordering system, so you don't need to call in to order, and (I quote) "if you put an item in your shopping cart, no one else can order it".

So it's on for young and old Monday morning - hope some pick up some bargains!

Well I suppose it shouldn't surprise me - they told me 3 weeks ago they would call me by the end of the week with the new stock - never did. I gave up on them and then they call me on Friday night and told me about this morning.

Surprise surprise - another deadline missed. Seems like Lenovo and punctuality/deadlines are not friends! Glad I gave up on them and went with Dell - my laptop was delivered before estimated shipping date!

Sorry if some of you are disappointed - keep checking as it must be on the way - though no way to tell when exactly it will hit the site.

 

I don't really think they will that many offers anyway. Cause, there are not so many people return their laptops unopened or canceled the order. Lenovo wants the money, you know !!!

the old link is the old link-the new one accessible through lenovo and then outlet, what a buncho junk except for the spare ac adapters and the z61t is the same as the refurb outlet from last week

 

The AC-Adapters looked like a good deal to me.

The Z61t for $399 is very low spec'd but seems a decent buy for a new computer, especially if you have some DDR2 sodimms lying around to upgrade the memory.

 

Now they show the refurbished laptops instead of the "returned unopened and order canceled". What the heck is Lenovo trying to do here ?

 

They actually have both now - you can select Closed Box, which is what the outlet used to be. It's just that now there looks to be a refurb (open box) option as well.

 

Not particularly impressed with the deals they were/are offering...Seems like I will now head off to Dell with their Vostros ...Unless someone can tip me off on better deals coming up within the next 3-5 weeks

 

MAN!!! I wish I had found out they refreshed the outlet sooner! I been checking the old outlet daily! just my luck they changed the link!

 

Don't worry about it, ChristopherAKAO4, they really didn't have any great deals this time around

Watch out with the AC Adapters I don't think the 56w adapters are the right adapters for the newer thinkpads. They probably will only work with the T4x, X4x etc thinkpads.

I've been meaning to pick one up for my T42p but it looks like it doesn't supply the required power
