From my previous experience with the "new" Lenovo outlet, a laptop order took two days to ship, despite having an estimated ship date being a week out. And this was during their 10% off sale about a month ago, presumably amidst heavier demand, so I would expect your order to ship either today or tomorrow.

all the shipping time is ETA, they usually give themselves some leeway, just in case there is something happening in the supply chain network. Also, it is better giving you a longer ETA and delivering it to you faster, then to give a short ETA and having to move it forward due to delivery problems.

Allright, thanks. One of the reasons I got this rather than ordering a new one was that they'd have it to me more quickly. Two business weeks is long!

They DO take that long to arrive... the laptops are shipped from China apparently (according to the rep who answered my call). I placed an order July 22 and they told me to expect it the end of this week.

Lenovo needs a dedicated North American distributor >_<

I ordered a monitor from the outlet last week. The estimate ship date was two weeks. But it shipped the next day and It arrived at my house in three days!!

Lenovo does have a depot in North America. If it is a refurb or scratch and dent stock, then these machines are kept in North America, as they were returned from customers in North America. If it is a large amount of new stock, then it is most likely an excess stock that maybe kept in either China or USA. If it is kept in China, then these laptop could be sold to either the North American or Asian customers, without the doubling up in the logistical side of things.

So you got your panties in a bunch for nothing? I had to wait, egad, three week for my X200 and I had to reach out to Lenovo to get it.
