For the first time I thought of picking up a refurbished model since my current needs are not particularly stringent or critical, but the Lenovo Outlet Store has been “undergoing maintenance” since, at least, Friday with no end in sight.

Is this common? How long do these maintenance episodes usually last?

    Cheers.

They might indeed be out but they had maintenance scheduled for the weekend, I guess they aren't done...

Currently no products listed in the outlet, so they might be updating inventory. I had been watching a laptop for about a week, but now have to wonder if someone in the Research Triangle is carrying it around campus or the office.

Darn—you’re right. The inventory was fairly populated for the last several days, but now it’s completely empty.

Hopefully they didn't sell everything at the warehouse event, heh.

I almost bought the X200 they had for $620. That's barely more than a netbook. It went out of stock while it was sitting in my cart. There'll be others I presume.

Ya, I assume so too. With some of the sales pricing is already around 800ish for some of the x series.

Must have been some major behind-the-scenes maintenance work since the (dwindling) stock is the same.

What is the telephone number for the outlet? It is hidden well on the usual web pages.
