    Hey guys,

I have bought a P52 recently ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...-laptop-with-some-gaming-capabilities.827550/) and my happiness didn't last for long.
From day one I got lags whenever I start a program or open the Windows menu. The whole System freezes up for about a second and then goes back to normal. Also watching stuff in fullscreen on the 4k screen makes the audio out of sync in apps like SkyGo. The freezes also appear randomly when nothing is started. It however happens every time I start a program. Of Course I updated all Drivers and tried a usb mouse with no changes.

Is anyone familiar with this issue? LatencyMon also reported issues with realtime audio. I couldn't pin down the reason for the issue so far. But from a new machine I expect more. In another Lenovo Forum thread it was mentioned that this issue is Hardware/Motherboard related and even changing it didn't solve it for some of the people there.

    Thanks for any help.

It sounds almost like a GPU polling issue. Are you running the latest NVIDIA drivers? Latest bios?

Does the problem go away if you disable the quadro (assuming that's what you have) in device manager?

    Hey custom90gt,
I didn't try that disabling the GPU yet. I just found that in Lenovo Vantage there are optional driver updates. Somehow I always overlooked that.
I installed them all and at the moment there are no hickups.
The problem mostly occured when I played Windows 7 Games for Windows 10 (like FreeCell). When I open those up there is always a lag and freeze for a second. It might be related to just those games. (Althought I have them installed on my other laptop and desktop computer as well with no problems)
I am too afraid to start them and have the problem reappear again. But right now I didn't see a problem like a freeze.
The 4K issue with picture lagging behind the sound is another one. I then used the Nvidia Contorl panel to assign the Quadro to that app exclusively and it got better that way. So maybe the P1000 just can't handle a 4k screen?

The P1000 and Intel UHD integrated card can largely handle a 4K screen. Anyway, if you have issue in the future, don't give up as there is certainly an explanation and fix (or workaround).

Thanks for the encouragment. I was about to send it back. I still have other issues like flickering in Blender due to Optimus but it usually can be worked around with Nvidias Control Panel. However the AES pen has a lot of issues (input delay and Substance Painter not working at all which people on HP devices also confirmed) and programs who are not optimized for 4k look blurry (my first 4k screen). I would prefer if they sold UHD displays instead. So I can only hope those issues get resolved over time but that would mean Wacom has to optimize their drivers (not much hopes for that)

So the microlags are back which is weird. After doing all the Lenovo Vantage update it worked for a while. Then I started those Windows 7 Games fo Win 10 and it's back. Even after I uninstalled that software. I also reset the Bios because I am also not able to start up a Linux USB stick anymore. The same USB stick works on all other computers except for the P52. I select the Boot Device Screen at startup then select my USB stick, then it flashes for a second and I am back at the bootscreen selection.
    Anyone familiar with this problem?

Ok now it works disabling it. Which is weird since disabling it and using legacy and usb mode did not work but setting to uefi only worked. But i tried that same thing a few days ago.
