Hi Everyone, I remember there was a thread somewhere where someone modified the skin of the battery gauge in the Lenovo Power Manager. I searched and searched and can't seem to find it :\

    Any clues or leads?

I appreciate the interest but I don't think this is the right way to go about finding it :p

-For future searches try the thread sticky'd in this section (Lenovo/IBM).

Lenovo ruined their once good power manager.

On Windows 7, it takes seconds to change power levels, whereas on XP, it was a right-click.

On Windows 7, the notification area is too large to be compatible with the "classic" theme, which is the only one that makes sense if you need not to ruin your color perception. Also, "Classic" allows more screen real estate, by a few pixels than any of the Aero themes.

Interesting suggestion, but if you need to do that to open it, it's broken. The new battery manager is a disimprovement and downgrade that should have never made it out of beta.

With that stated, Windows 7's own battery manager is broken even more, allowing only 2 battery states to be used at a time. What were they thinking, and how could they be so stupid that they think that's acceptable? MS, keep making the cool-aid, and everyone will drink it because no one complains.

Agree on all counts including Classic theme. I've tried my best to like the Aero themes but they just give up too much space and are far too cluttered. Thankfully, BatteryBar for $10 solves both problems. Allows you to get rid of the Power Manager toolbar to make the taskbar narrower, and right-clicking the batterybar toolbar lets you switch profiles.
