The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Lenovo Program to Clean Install

    Has anybody used the Lenovo program Base Software Administrator to format their system with exactly what they want? I haven't seen anybody talk about this as an option but it seems it should work. The link to the program is:

    I've never tried it but it seems like it could be less of a hassle than the other methods talked about on the forum.

    If I had my t61 I would've used it already, but for now I'll have to go by what other people say. Anyway, it seems a little complicated. I'm sure with a little work you can figure out exactly what you want and don't want when you use the base software administrator.
