Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any good knowledge on battery life for the lenovo r61 with the following (or similar) specs:
T8100
3gb ram
1gb turbo memory
14.1 wxga+
7-cell battery
INTEGRATED and DISCRETE graphics
Mainly, is it possible to get 3hours of battery life with light usage (low lightning, battery stretching) using the discrete graphics?
What is the maximum amount of battery life I can expect with the integrated card with light usage?
Pretty much I just want to know as much as I can about all sorts of battery life facts with this laptop to help make the decision vs integrated and discrete easier.
Thanks everyone.

i'm wondering about the same thing.
btw, lenovo offers 9 cell batteries on the 14.1" R61 now -
not on the canadian site though, unfortunately.
the jump from 6-7 is larger than 7-9 though, i read some post abou tit. had to do with the voltage differences. -
On my R61 with integrated graphics card and a 6 cell battery I get up to 4 hours on battery saving settings, mainly surfing and chatting.

I get about 2.5 hours or so running somewhat conservatively with discrete graphics and wifi on all the time. I am going to do some undervolting and see if that kicks me up a bit. Also, I do not run my battery past 20% or above 90%. Usually internet is all i do. Light gaming and optical drive use will bring that down fast. 7cell battery.
