    Tired of bloat?
Want to do an easier clean install.
Wish Lenovo included real Windows install disks instead of the "system restore" disk?

    Please make your mark here.

I did a clean install with my Vista Ultimate disk that I bought for my desktop so it was easy. :D

But I wish that Lenovo would add a Windows recovery disk with both 32 and 64bit versions of windows!

With Lenovo's Base Software Administrator, you can actually customize your system restore and exclude stuff you do not want reinstalled.

    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/TVAN-ADMIN.html

    Taken from the page above:

"The ThinkVantage Base Software Administrator (BSA) program is a versatile software utility that you can use to customize the recovery process for the Lenovo Preload. With BSA, you can customize the recovery process for computers and you can create personalization files used to automate the setup for Windows based on the Lenovo Preload."

Base Software Administrator only limits certain applications from installing. If I remember correctly, unchecking all the applications will still result in a few being installed, not to mention the install file copies of all the programs (SWTool and SWShare).
