Has anyone taken advantage of this?

    https://promo.tradeonemktg.com/v/4/5/PDFDocs/Recycling_Rebate_Form.pdf

I have an old Sony laptop that I'm trying to get rid of. I was thinking about using the Lenovo rebate service, but noticed the language on the rebate form specifically states "recycle any manufacturer's PCs, including system units, monitors, printers and optional attachments for $30.00", but it doesn't specify laptops.

Anyone have experience with this rebate?

    You're fine.

If you are really concerned, call the number at the top of the rebate.

I noticed this rebate, too. Do we have to ship in old PC and do the proper "paper' work in order to claim rebate? Or we can claim the rebate without shipping in our old piece.

If you didn't have to ship your PC to them, why would they give you $30? I guess companies these days just like to give a free $30 to anyone that asks.

The return is prepaid, great way to get rid of old junk.
    From the web site:

The Lenovo Recycling Service helps you dispose of your old PC equipment in an environmentally responsible way.

Prepaid shipping labels and instructions help simplify the recycling process
Suitable systems will be donated to charity if possible and donor will receive a receipt for tax purposes

Is there any requirement for the recycled pc? For example, if I want to keep the hard drive, memory, mini-wifi card and battery of the laptop, is the rest of the laptop qualifying the rebate?

The number provided on the rebate form only has voice mail. No one answers it.
