I've had my S10 for a week now, and after getting over the 17'' ---> 10" notebook conversion, all I can say is wow.

    Pros:

It's really well built, none of the buttons feel cheap as with most netbooks.

The screen is nice and bright, matte finish is the best for me in a netbook, because it will be going outdoors a lot of the time. Even though its 1024x600, I hardly ever have to scroll sideways on the web.

Touch pad is also great, even has multi-gesture features, although its small size limits your finger movements.

Express card slot, (the reason I picked this netbook) Great! I didn't see the point in the other Ultra portables, when they don't have a slot for my 3g modem!

    Fast XP boot time.

    And it's under 2.5 lbs.

    Cons:

    Well... I have 3.

    1. The express card slot I <3 so much, isn't the standard depth, the card actually sticks out about 1/2" more than it should, see picture. Not really a big deal, but would look so much better all the way in :(

    2. This baby gets HOT on "High Performance Mode"! keep it off your lap. :D

    3. I chose the black finish, and its loves fingerprints. :( but it still looks better than all the other colors.

---I'm really impressed with this little S10 :D

Nice netbook. The deciding factor for me was the short battery life, so I just ordered an EeePC 1000-HA

yeah :( , the 3-cell is decent though, keeps the weight/size down, Lenovo now has a 6-cell on their website for $129, not sure if I need it just yet.

NBR has a review up already with the details, you can find it here :) http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4620

$399usd @ Newegg.com or Lenovo.com $50usd more than a couple other netbooks, but it's the only one right now with an Express Slot.

    Hi ,

I am planning to buy a S10 notebook , I plan to use torrent to download stuff all day ..all week and probably all year long primarily...that is what my HP Lap top does right now ..i may use it once in a while for some personal work ...nothing that would require to many cycles . was just wondering if the S 10 would be ideal buy for my primary purpouse .
