    Hello,

Do any of you think that Lenovo will allow one at some point to customize the S10 netbook with a SDD? The review on NBR says that the heat is quite bad (~100F). I'm presuming that a SDD in place of a HD would have a significant impact on the heat issue? Or is that incorrect?

    Thanks for your thoughts

For $139usd you could pop one in yourself :D

This one seems to have good reviews, and price.
I'll probably be ordering one of these and a 6-Cell battery soon for my S10.

The S10 does get pretty hot, I keep it on "Balanced" power mode, down clocks the processor, keeps it a little cooler.
I think the ssd would help out some with the heat.

Thanks very much for your input Jmna!

I was thinking the dell mini 9 might be cheaper but I see that they're exactly the same price at the moment ($349). I see that the S10 is only capable of 1.5GB RAM, whereas I think the dell can handle 2GB (according to Crucial). The other advantage that the dell has is that it seems to run cooler, not to mention it's a touch smaller if the dimensions I've found on the net are accurate.

What made you decide to get the S10 over the dell?
