Lenovo S210 microphone?

Hello!

Could anyone who owns a Lenovo S210 laptop please tell me about the quality of the built-in microphone? I have a Lenovo G770 which is a great laptop but the mic is placed close to the fan exhaust and it's practically unusable for Skyping since it picks so much noise from the fan.

I've looked at the S210 manual and hoped that the mic would be located on the display bezel but in fact it is on the right side of the keyboard (so not right at the fan but still close).

So, please, anyone who owns a S210 and has tried using the mic (for Skyping or whatever), please tell me if it's usable or is it picking noise from the fan.

PS: Another question - S210 has a combined phone/mic input which can be used with the mic/phones combo headset and now with a reagular mic or phones. I have a cheapo headset that comes with all the Nokia phones (in-ear plugs and a small mic), would that one work with this input?

PPS: I've just read on the official Lenovo forums that the battery is crap (lasts less than 2 hrs at most). I hope that's not true as I really like the laptop's looks.

Anyone, please, shed some light on the matter.
