Today, as I double-checked on Lenovo Website about the before-mentioned Lenovo IdeaPad U450p, looking for some extra info or some confirmation, I ended up in the ThinkPad SL series area.
The SL series are, what we call, budget laptops. Made for small businesses or people who want a good performance and not spend a lot.
Well, I got there, and there are two models posted. The ThinkPad SL400 and SL500, 14" and 15" respectively. But the site also announces another model, not currently available.
An ultra-thin LED based 13" laptop, called SL300.
So it comes to my head. Is this one of those Lenovo famous website typos? Or is there really a 13" model ThinkPad SL? There is no availability via Lenovo US Website.
The PDF file included shows a Montevina-based CPU and NVIDIA 9300M GS GPU. 3 USB 2.0, Firewire 1394 and HDMI are included. DDR2 PC-5300 is also available and up to 4GB.

There used to be a Thinkpad SL300, which was later taken down, likely due to supply problems. It's been unavailable for the past few months, and they probably didn't bother editing it out of the graphic at the top of the SL-series page.

It wasnt there before...not that I can recall at least.
What do you think? Is this a typo? Or will they re-launch the SL300?
(the former configuration, did it use up to a T9400 and GPU?) -
I can confirm that the SL300 was there, and it did use up to a T9400 and a 9300M GS. Even on the lenovo thinkpad leaked roadmap it shows the SL300 as dieing/dead and no plans to bring it back.
Not sure if the roadmap is necessarily authentic but it seems pretty good (we will know if the SL410 comes this month) -
Why is it that Lenovo scraps 13 inchers? All of their models are either 14 or 15 inches, and very few are different. SL, R, T and Y have this sizes, while the X, U and W have different sizes. (except some particular as the U450p, W500)
Lenovo SL300, another leak or a typo?
