Any predictions on the next one  ? - Thanks

Any ideas here, should I feel pressured to buy before this sale ends as I've heard new sales are frequent-nearly weekly?

Yes, they have sales quite frequently. I'd say about every other week (for the more popular models anyway). Their week-long sales usually seem to be about 10%, while the 3-day sales tend to hover around 15-20%. From what I've seen so far though, the St. Pat's sale does seem to be among the best: up to 25% or something (again, depending on the model you're looking at).

If you don't want to buy right away, you could also make a quote, which I heard is good for 30 days.

Good to know, I think this sale expires tomorrow at midnight..

How do you make a quote that is good for 30 days?

Go through the order process up until it asks for billing information. At that point, there is a button to convert the order to a quote. They'll send you an email containing a link to your quote.

Edit: Bah, ignore my post. He said it faster.

I believe you have to configure your notebook exactly the way you want it (otherwise they may not honor the quote at a later date), and then go into the checkout process. When you get to the step that asks for credit card information, you just leave the credit card fields blank and click on the button to generate a quote, rather completing payment. You then get a confirmation email, saying that your quote has been processed, and to call a Lenovo rep if you want to turn it into an order.

As for the 30 days thing... that's information that I was given by someone else, so I can't verify it first hand. If you want to be 100% sure, you would have to find it on the Lenovo site, or contact them and ask.

I'll try to look into generating quotes today & how long they are good for (30 days would be nice!), I assume I could generate different ones for different configurations..?

This link posted by someone earlier seems to suggest they have sales quite often & I hope there will be another soon but the 30 day quote idea is useful info, thanks! :

90 day price protection would be nice but will try to confirm with Lenovo:

On the other hand, Lenovo do traditionally cut prices significantly over time with more permanent 'sales', and then the weekend sales stack on top of that. A lot of the newer models haven't seen any of that yet, but I expect that to change this summer.

I don't know if it's still the case, but when I bought my T60 and X61s prices were negotiable when you call. Sometimes more than others, but definitely worth a try.

A sale of up to 25% is rare. Normally they swing right around 10%. The last 25% off sale was in December I believe.

Lenovo Sales Rep told me quotes even with ecoupons that have expired are good for 30 days.

Bottom of final order page is a quote option, thanks for that tip !

there's also the 5% off from using a VISA card, and that one you can double up on, I think.

How does that work, use a VISA & automatic 5% off, double up really?
