Lenovo Shipping/ Build Time

Im thinking about ordering a Thinkpad in the next few days, does anyone have an idea about how long a T60 would take to ship( + build time) to around Philadelphia?

I just ordered a custom built 2613EAU and it's set to ship on the 14th, but I'm sure it will vary depending on your choices. You could always order a prebuilt if it's vital you get it soon, but I think you'll be very safe buying a built to order if you can wait into October.

 

I tryed to order a Z61t and got an estimated ship time of about 1 month. Then Lenovo sent me an email about shipment delay of about another month so I had to cancel. So if I were you I would call a sales representative and make sure whatever you are ordering they have in stock. You could also order from a place like cdw. Although I have not ordered from them yet, they do have an option to check if what you are going to order is in stock.

 

Really, really depends on the specific model/componennts... could be 2 days to 2 months.
Call and ask, it may be in stock.

 

Don't forget, there are also prebuilt options that ship right away. If you're a student, some of these are currently at huge savings.

Yeah...if you can find a model in Buy Today, Ship Today that meets your needs, then you can get it very fast.

 

I ordered my custom Z61t 8/18 and it arrived on the 28th!

 

Ordered on 8/28, was given an estimated shipping date of 9/7. Today the website estimates a shipping date of 9/14. I called Lenovo yesterday for an update, and they said there would be a very good chance that the laptop would ship on 9/7. So, if you're in a hurry, don't custom order.

 

I order a z61m on August 23rd, and it came today

This was after an estimate of 4-6 weeks because they said the Z61m was not in stock.

 

Ordered on 9/5 with estimated shipping of 9/19. Order confirmation shows an expected ship date of 9/22.
I'll keep my fingers crossed. Encouraging that some people got their computers earlier than the exptected ship date.

 

Just an update, I decided to go ahead and order a T60 from cdw.com on 9/7 and it was shipped on the same day 9/7. My ups tracking says that it should arrive 9/12!!!

 

I decided to get the Flexview instead of the 14" so I cancelled that order with Lenovo on Tuesday and ordered from Page Computers Tuesday evening. Unfortunately Lenovo's hold on my debit card didn't clear until early Wednesday morning and I couldn't get it resolved in time to ship until Thursday. Alas, with the $33 two day shipping I won't get it until Monday, this weekend will be hell!
