What is your T400 power consumption when on battery?
with a wireless turned off, brightness at 65% and power scheme
"maximal battery life" my T400 consumes 11W.(also no usb devices plugged in)
is it ok? or is it too high?

and what are your cpu temps?
    mines are around 41-43C°/106-109F°

also I'm interested what software do you use to see power consumption and temps? Are there are any widgets or something like this, that can show this information?

oh, I forgot to add, it is on integrated graphics
so the numbers are too high. strange. do you know what can be the reason?

btw. I have also noticed that after battery is discharged to 5%, Power Manager will show the remaining capacity at 5% and remaining time 1 min. I can use my laptop for another 30 min. but Power Manger will still be showing 5% and 1 min left.
Does any one else have also such Power Manger behavior?

What screen do you have, LED or CCFL?

Power Manager and other battery-monitoring tools are always unreliable at low battery charge percentages. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My T500's CPU temperatures on integrated graphics mode are usually around the high-20's to mid-30's. This is taken from CoreTemp, which I have found reports temperatures slightly higher than HWMonitor and RMClock.

    I have LED.

T500 seems to run far more cooler than T400

11 Watts is good. It should maybe goto 8-9 watts if you turn everything lowest and a lot off.
