I just bought a T61 at the end of July. I think i got it on the last day that they were offering the WXGA+ screen. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks to deliver and gave Sept 13 as a projected date. It is Aug 13th and the box is at my UPS branch waiting to be picked up. I am worried that possibly they just threw in the standard screen to get it out faster. Is there anyway to tell which screen i have without having them side by side?

If you have the serial number which you should you can look it up on Lenovo's site. If they sent the wrong screen, you could certainly send it back.

I just went through the exact same anxiety and I called Lenovo order status, they read me the part number as a WXGA+ screen, plus I used my serial number to look up the FRU on the page linked in the sticky and it matches up with a Samsung WXGA+ screen. I wouldn't worry, but give them a call if you want confirmation.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. After reading all these posts its hard not to worry. Has anyone had any clarification on the WUSB subject? I never even saw it as an option when i was building my machine.

Can I ask what date exactly?

    I ordered a WXGA+ on 7/31 and was also given a Sept 13th ESD.

I placed the order on July 29th, they also gave me Sept 13th as a ship date but on Aug 9 i got an email saying they confirmed my payment and that my order had been shipped. It was just a plain T61, not a T61p. I configured it with out the graphics card. I got the 2gghz processor, WXGA+, 2 gig ram, 80 gig HD, Intel wireless upgrade...i think thats all the extras. I would look for yours in the next week or two, i think supply must be catching up to demand.

The shipping dates are usually conservative. Don't worry about it too much.

You could just check the maximum resolution... that'd seem like a much easier thing to do.
