Maybe this helps you guys, like it helped me:
I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad T14s with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U chip, for almost nine months. I also realized loud fan noises on idle or while doing simple office tasks, caused by GPU temperatures around +/- 65°C. But I could not figure out why the temperature raised so high, since sometimes the fan started working, without an obvious relationship to intensive graphics workload, and even more challenging, the GPU sometimes did not even have to work hard on tasks like photo editing in Photoshop or watching 4k videos, for which one could expect a raise in GPU temp. I realized a connection between the loud fan noises and me working with Google’s Chrome browser, but almost never with Mozilla's Firefox browser. Since I must use both web browsers for my work, changing to just one browser, is not an option for me. So, I tried to find out, what could be the cause of the browser related fan noise.
Long story short: It turned out, that the Hardware Acceleration in Chrome was causing the GPU fan to become loud, even while doing almost nothing. Turning this option out via chrome://settings/ -> Advanced stopped the noise literally immediately and lowered the GPU temperature down to 45°C, when not working on GPU demanding tasks! I hope this can help you too.
