Takes balls tipping the laptop forward and back like that with so much water on there. Glad it still works, others haven't been so fortunate.

    grandma video is awesome. :p

It was very tempting to do the test and seeing the results makes me even happier with my ThinkPad.

And yes tipping it forward was an accident and a tiny bit of water ran onto the track pad, but alas everything was fine.

Of course it's going to work when you pour water over the drain hole in a controlled manner. I wonder how it works out when it's a real spill by accident.

It worked just fine for me in an uncontrolled and unplanned accident with my X300.

Yeah, I pretty much did. I was lucky that anything continued working since I dropped a 16oz Tervis Tumbler full of ice and water onto my keyboard, but I had read enough warnings to know that I needed to 1) pull all the power immediately, 2) keep it level and let the drainholes do their job and 3) make sure it was completely dried out before I tried to turn it on again. I think that's where the microfiber towel, the gentle heat from the light bulb and a lot of patience worked to my benefit.

I'm much more careful about not reaching over the top of my system to pick up a glass now. ;)
