Would the ThinkPad X120e be too small for everyday use, in terms of writing papers, email, etc? Is the screen too much of a strain for all day use?
Thanks.

You'll probably find a variety of opinions here in regard to comfortable screens sizes. There are even those who can't stand any more than 1366x768 resolution on a 14" monitor. That said, if you're reasonably young and have halfway decent eyesight at short range, you should be fine.
If you can't find an x120e locally to try out yourself, have a look at the screen of an 11" Apple MacBook Air. It's the same size and pixel density (though I suppose better screen quality than the x120e). -
You can always connect your laptop to external monitor when using it on desk at home/work.
Id rather pay attention whether it will be powerful enough for your tasks that you are going to use it for -
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Nothing wrong having a 11.6" as your primary. 1368x768 is fine for normal use, coding no. Keyboard is better than most consumer rubbish chicklet keyboards. You could always hook it up to a big 23-24" 1080p monitor at home.

Thanks for your input. My needs in terms of power are simple: writing documents, checking emails, and watching films. My most important focus is the keyboard. I really liked the keyboard on the Thinkpad Edge and want to get a similar machine again.
How is multi-tasking on the X120e? How does the AMD compare to I3 Intel? -
However, I do love the keyboard and would put at the top of my list. -
I had an 11.6 inch as my primary, I got tired of the small screen, I would get a larger laptop like the E420.

I had an 11.6" as my Primary laptop and moved up to a 13.3". I like the 13.3" far better. I don't get tired working long hours on the display and it is still portable enough to take most places.

Thanks, looks like I'll go for an Edge 13", I think.
