Yes, it does - the X120e has nearly all the Thinkpad features of traditional Thinkpads except the Thinklight.

What was the name of that mode? It seems like running the computer in that mode vs using a second battery would be a great idea.

Well, it's not a mode per say, but it's in the Advanced Battery Maintenance settings of ThinkVantage Power Manager. In general, that feature is referred to as battery charge thresholds.

In regards to the battery Maintenance, could you guys recommend a setting for my situation.

I have the x120e on the go for 2-3 days a week. Majority of the time though, 4-5 days a week, the x120e is sitting on my desk plugged in. Before anyone says that maybe I should have bought another laptop, this fit my budget and is small enough for my desk.

What batter setting should i have the x120e on to extend the battery life? Should I choose the option that lets windows handle this?

    10% min - 80% max???

@cstavro2: I'd say charge at 30% to 80% would be just fine. Li-ion batteries like staying "in the middle," charge-wise.

People who think they don't have Bluetooth: be sure that it is not just disabled. You have to press FN+F4 to get the connection window up and it is hidden away in the Advanced section of that, off by default. It tripped me up, too.

I just noticed that shipping times for the x120e jumped to "ships in more than 4 weeks" now. Has anyone heard of a replacement model due?

Not until late this year, most likely, with the new AMD Fusion platform. The slow shipping is likely due to high demand--the X120e was priced a bit lower than competition a little while ago.

Just to be cynical, I wonder if it's not due to demand but instead due to a component price break coming up in a few weeks. I know this is a stretch and I wouldn't claim it's true but consider, most parts in these systems fall in price at scheduled times. If say the CPU was going to get 10% cheaper in two weeks then Lenovo might deliberately delay shipment of some systems to get the cheaper component price (assuming a smooth supply line).

Just a thought and probably not true but stranger things have happened.

So now it's been 6 months and the x120e has been on the market for a little while. :p

In what european countries can you find the x120e?

Depending on the country, you can purchase the x121e. Similar to the x120e, but has a slightly different build and can be equipped with an AMD or an Intel ULV processor.
