Is it possible to swap out the 64gb flash drive in the Lenovo X301 and replace it will a regular hard drive?
-
Nope. The drives on the X301 are 1.8" drives. I regular drive is too big. Supposedly there's a 1.8" 5400RPM drive coming. At some point in the future it may be possible.

It already is possible. Lenovo configures the X301 with a regular hard drive.

Thosiba just launched a new generation of 1.8 inch sata:

There are several 1.8" drives available. Too bad it can't be configured with one, would definitely bring the price down. I wonder if any of them can be used now.
