This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hey guys,

    Anyone have any more information on the U300 that isn't the ultrabook? It was mentioned in the initial press release but since then the U300s has stolen the spotlight. The U300 isn't even listed on the lenovo website anymore...
    Any info would be greatly appreciated as I was looking into buying one of those before next year.

    Holy crap! I'd not noticed that. I've been anxiously waiting for U300 non S info as well. The U300 page still works, it seems they've just removed the link to it.

    I guess Lenovo doesn't see it coming out any time soon. On the plus side, the i5 U300s goes for $1050 so that's not too much of a stretch from the $800 the U300 base model was suspected to start from. But for $250 more you get no sd card reader and no ethernet port. :mad:
