Hi all - happy new year!

I am considering buying the Lenovo Ideapad U410. Before I buy it, I would like to know whether I could upgrade the CPU at a later date.

I have searched extensively on the net, without getting a definitive and satisfactory answer.

I doesn't say anywhere if the CPU is socketed or soldered or glued to the motherboard.

I looked at the Hardware Maintenance Manual but it doesn't talk about replacement of the CPU in there. However, it does list CPUs as FRU components in the spare parts list at the back, so maybe it is possible?

Thank you very much for your help in this!

    Kind regards,

    R.
