Hi,
I got the tracking number for my L412 (yes, yes, not 'true' ThinkPad quality, I know) from Lenovo today. In the UPS tracking section it says I can 'authenticate' for full tracking details. I know my Postal Code and country, but a UPS Account Number is also required. Bearing in mind that I'm from the UK (where one of our leading delivery networks has just painted all of it's vans bright green and renamed itself Yodel to avoid bad publicity!), is this UPS Account Number something that I could reasonably expect to obtain from Lenovo? Or even better can someone that has got it lying around give it to me?
Thanks

IIRC, the account number is the first six characters after the 1Z in the tracking number. I'm guessing they're looking for some sort of master account number since that's readily available, and this is some sort of authentication.

You seem to be right on all counts. UPS Account # in Community Help Boards in Community confirms it is the first 6 characters after the 1Z (so AF6884 in my case), but UPS says that's invalid so you must be right in thinking it's a master account number. Anyway, these 'full tracking details' presumably don't offer much more than the normal details. Thanks for your help Ethyriel.

I think the account is for lenovo to track you order in case a problem arrive. It might be the master account that only lenovo customer service personal has access to.
