    Lenovo W510 red LCD cast

    Hi!

    I have this notebook for a while now and I notice really bad red cast on LCD monitor. This is not visible on other HP models.

    Did anyone try to calibrate monitor?

    What were the settings in nvidia panel that I can use them if thinks will look better then?

    Is this wide gamut RGB LED display? Some people see red cast on wide gamut displays such as RGB LED or OLED due to individual differences in far-red eye cone receptors - some people are more responsive to very intense red, hence they perceive reddish cast on white (which made by mixture of red, blue and green elements).
    In this case you need to calibrate white point manually (comparing to white paper sheet for example), as you see it. You can do it with calibration built in the Windows Vista/7 for example.
    Automatic calibrators generally won't help in this case, since they are unable to account for aforementioned individual differences in intense red perception.
