    I bought a used T60p and the 3 year warantee expires Feb 12, 2010.

First, will this warnatee work in Canada? (I bought it from the US)

Second, according to the Lenovo Canada site, after entering the serial number it says that I can purchase an additional 3 year warantee for $89. Sounds like a deal to me...but is this legitimate?

I'm pretty sure it is, but I wanted to double check.

Usually you cannot use a warranty in another country unless it has international warranty service, which cannot be added. I would call Lenovo regarding that 3year extension.

If it's not allowed, how come it came up as one of the options on Lenovo Canada, after I entered the serial ?

In any case, thanks, I will call them. Didn't think of that.

You can use the IWS look up in the sticky to see whether it's got IWS. I don't know about Canada, but typically warranty service is limited to five years, four for accidental coverage. I don't know how you could go six years.
