Hey guys, I'm getting ready to purchase a T-400, and I had a quick question. I've seen some comments on here about Lenovo's customer service in general and i'm wondering if it's in my best interest to spend the extra cash on Lenovo's warranty system or if there are third party sources that might be better, or if I should even just not bother with the warranty.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

I dont think you should even bother with the extended warranty.

i would get the extended warranty especially the accidental. I personally got the 2 year accidental warranty. I don't think there are any third party sources. I would advise not to get on site repair as i'm not a big fan of random strangers at my house and plus if you search here: http://bplocator.lenovo.com/ and find a service center near you then it's not that bad doing depot service.

    Why warranty?
it's a laptop aka. mobile which means anything is possible even if you're careful, your surroundings might not be.

Electronics fail, you can't avoid it.

Only reason not to get it, is if you want to save some cash right this moment because in the future if anything happens.. i'm pretty sure the warranty cost would be less than the repair cost.

The warranty guide is worth a look.
