    [RESOLVED]
    Hi all,

Google brought me to this forum for a problem I have with my Lenovo X200 Tablet thingie. I found another thread with the same kind of issue... But it was in the Macbook section heh, no good for me :p

After going to sleep, the login / finger print screen often doesn't appear, or even sometimes appears only to disappear a few minutes later. All I can see then is just the blue virtual keyboard thingie. The mouse moves, keyboard reacts normally (capslock on and off and stuff...). Pressing ctrl-alt-delete won't do any good... nor any evil... won't do anything actually :/

There's no way for me to get the control of the computer back, apart from a dirty hard shut down by pressing the power button for 4 seconds. :(

I'm using Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 (downgraded from Vista Buziness), fully up to date (Service pack 3, ...).

    Any clue/solution/workaround on this problem?

    Many thanks in advance!

Admittedly, I don't know much about the tablets, but I would start off by reinstalling the FP drivers and software. If that doesn't work then maybe backup your critical files and do a system restore. If that still doesn't solve it, then there maybe a hardware problem and Lenovo will need to solve it.

I've never had any trouble like that. Occasionally, the fingerprint reader won't recognize me (especially if I swipe too quickly), but it is always present.

As StealthTH said, I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing the fingerprint drivers.

You might also check for any BIOS updates that mention changes for the fingerprint reader.

Thanks for all the answers guys! ;)

Uninstalling (removing all fingerprint data) and reinstalling latest fingerprint software from Lenovo's pages finally did the trick, or at least it seems it did! :p
