    hello

I have a Lenovo X220 with Fan problems. The problem is the FAN isn't starting unless i Flash the BIOS. After i Flash the BIOS, then the Fan works again, but if i power off the laptop and power it back on it won't start unless i flash the bios again. What could be the problem for this? The laptop is still in warranty , but i don't have any papers and it was bought from outside EU. Is it any worth to go to warranty?

RMA it to Lenovo. Lenovo bases warranty information based on the serial number, not the registered owner.

Is the warranty International? Because i'm in Europe, and this laptop i see is from Canada. Do you need to provide any papers?

You should call and check, but chances are, your warranty is not international (Lenovo has both international and "regular" warranties).

Try installing TPFanControl and see if you can get the fan moving with a custom fan profile. That'd be a useful step in debugging the problem.

I have TpFanControl and it doesn't work. The only way to start the Fan is by flashing the bios :)
