    Lenovo X61 Hangs after window updates

    I have Windows Vista Business on my laptop. The problem is that the automatic windows update screen is stuck at "0% of Step 3", and keeps restarting my computer. I've tried hitting "F8" to go into safe mode but that has not worked.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
